Bike Ride and Water Fun

Today we headed out to another Metropark, Lower Huron, (Saturday we went to Metro Beach Metropark). We're enjoying discovering all the different metroparks. We've got a few more on our list for sure this summer.

First was the bike ride and Ian fell asleep.

Then it was on to the pool. Ian loved bouncing in the water and "swimming" between Mom and Dad. He was even getting the hang of kicking his legs and when we got home he kept practicing only he was on the carpet in the living room. He has a great imagination already. :-) We only got pictures at the end when he was checking out the splashground but during our next trip we'll make sure to get action water pictures.

Trying out the water slide with Dad's help.

Check out the water that gushes out of the waterslide.

It was well past Ian's lunch time by the time we headed home. Ian was so anxious to eat his "mish mash".

4th of July

Our posts are a little out of order but unfortunately Aunt Stephanie's computer broke and so we couldn't get her 4th of July pictures until just today.

In the afternoon of the 4th we met up with Andrew, Stephanie, and Owen at a splashground in Canton and then had a picnic at a park nearby. Ian jumped right in to checking out the different spays and he enjoyed watching Owen "work" the different toys and then trying to be just like Owen.

Exploring

Monkey See....

Monkey Do.

During dinner Owen was a great "big brother". If Ian got to close to the street, Owen would go over and explain to Ian why he shouldn't go in the street and gently hold his hand and walk with him back to the table. It was such as sight!

As always there are more pictures in Ian's Summer 2010 album.

Petting Zoo

Ian and I visited the Heritage Petting Zoo this morning before it got too hot. It was already pretty hot but we survived and had fun. Ian saw turtles, fish, lamas, sheep, goats, bunnies, chickens, cows, ponies and donkeys. Ian was more exciting about running around the barn, touching the water bottles and closing doors but he occasionally took interest in the animals. We'll definitely be back soon. Here are a few of the pictures but more are on Ian's Summer 2010 album.

Band Concert

This blog entry is a little out of order but the pictures are worth sharing. Everyone spent part of the day at Grandma and Grandpa D's before Mom and Dad left for Vegas. We went for a walk and then we went down to the Albion Community Band Concert. Grandpa bought Ian cookies. Surprise surprise, Ian loved the cookies.

Ian was also having a good time playing with Dad's hat at some point before we went on vacation.

Summer Fun Continues

The entire family has enjoyed fun activities since the summer started. Ian got to spend part of the week at Grandma and Grandpa Dobbins' house (with Aunt Caroline too) while Mom and Dad went to Las Vegas to see the Beatles Cirque du Solei show, "Love". The show was AMAZING! We highly recommend you go see it! We finished out the day and one-half with lots of walking and sightseeing around LV. We took some pictures and you can find them on our Mobile Me album.

Today we went on our longest bike ride, almost 13 miles which took us a little over an hour. Ian did a great job, didn't cry once and even ended up falling asleep. Pictures of him in his chariot are in his Summer 2010 album.
