Ian was in the mood to sing this morning. He's learned a song called "in the graveyard" sung to the clementine melody. Pretty funny for 6:30 am.

Week Summary
Nothing groundbreaking occurred this week so here is a brief summary.
Joe took Ian to Greenfield Village on Monday and they had a blast. Ian enjoyed checking out all the buildings, riding the train, and spending just guy time together.

In the evening, the three of us went to the Tiger's game. This was Ian's 2nd ever baseball game but his first game of the 2011 season. Ian enjoyed learning some of the facets of baseball but he really enjoyed the merry-go-round and baseball ferris wheel.

On Tuesday we attending the FROG Family Fun event which ended up being Ian and I and one other Eriksson teacher and her daughter. That's fine with me. We talked while Isabella and Ian played and listened to music from "Zippity 2 Dads".
Wednesday, the guys hung out together while I had a meeting. Thursday was nothing special. Ian and I did run errands while Dad was at rehearsal. One of the errands was a car wash. Not Ian's favorite.

On Friday, I helped with interviews and then Ian and I met with Stephanie, Owen and Molly at Turtle Cove (pool/splash park). Ian and Owen had lots of fun taking turns jumping to me. Molly eventually got in the water too with me and seemed to really enjoy the warm water. Everyone had a great time until Stephanie wanted to try out the water side. Owen did not want her to try it and was pretty upset about her trying the waterside. So unfortunately our evening ended a little earlier but we had such a great time no matter what.

Saturday and Sunday were spent playing around the house both inside and out.
As I finish this post, I'm realizing we had a more eventful week than I thought. Sometimes I forget things happened less than a week ago. As always more pictures here

Family Time with Beatles Music in the Background
Our weekend was fairly low key. I finished Ian's gas pump so he will now have enough gas to do all the parking his heart desires.
The rain on Sunday kept us inside for the morning but we went to Albion for the Beatles tribute band, Toppermost, performing at Swingin' at the Shell . Everyone was back from up north and other activities so it was great to have everyone together for some time. Owen and Ian played together and Ian took time to give Molly kisses and pet her head. Ian also played jokes on Grandpa and Andrew and danced with Caroline but he spent most of his time in Grandma's lap. Don't forget there are more pictures in Ian's Summer 2011 Album.

Parking Fun
We've been taking some short trips to different places and some places we already visited and so now Ian is very concerned about parking spots and we're able to find parking spots.
Today, with a few chalk lines I created a parking lot and Ian really enjoyed parking forwards and backwards.
One final note to anyone who recently has come in contact with Ian. Whomever taught him "probably" we'll be sending him to come live with you until he learns a new word.

Travel & Family Fun
It's been a few days since our last post but we've been on the road and have been busy with the first few days of vacation.
On Monday, while we were still in Allen Park (Joe was at band camp), Ian and I enjoyed some time at the water park. Ian is getting more and more daring each time we go to the pool.

Ian and I made our way up north during the day on Tuesday. We visited the beach in Harbor Springs in the morning on Wednesday and enjoyed the pool in the afternoon before Aunt Stephanie, Owen and Molly arrived in the evening.

Today, Owen wanted to go to the pool first thing this morning so we all played in the pool for most of the morning. A lunch at Cormack's filled our tummies so we could come back to the house and have a long rest. Tonight's dinner was a luau themed dinner and everyone enjoyed the festivities. To wrap up our night we played at the Trout Creek playground.

Not sure what tomorrow holds for the gang but Andrew is coming up tomorrow night and then Joe will come up on Saturday morning.

Getting back to his old self
Ian is definitely getting back to his old self. We've been able to get back outside for a few short play sessions without getting too hot and tired. One sign of his old self was what he said as he was looking through his birthday and Christmas photos on the iPad. He came across a picture of him opening up Christmas presents and he said, "I want presents, please". Explaining about when he gets presents wasn't nearly as clear as his request.
