Ultrasound and Doctor's Appt
Ian had another follow-up appointment with the pediatric orthopedist today. Overall good news.
Radiology says Left hip has about 50% coverage and angle of 57 deg before it was 30% coverage and angle was 52 deg. There is no subluxation on stress movements (when they try to push his hip out of the socket and they push hard!). The Orthopedist says we should do a couple of more weeks wearing harness at night. We'll go back for a recheck in 2 months. She originally said to recheck him when he was 6 months old but apparently boys have a tendency to have their hips slip out again so we have to keep an eye on it. Ian was a trooper as always as they pushed on his hips. He is a tired guy now.
So the end is near. :-)

3 months old
Ian turned 3 months old this week. We wanted to have some new pictures taken so we met Aunt Stephanie today to take some new pictures. Ian had a busy morning "working" at Casters with Mom so Ian wasn't in the best mood during the photo shoot but Aunt Stephanie was still able to get a few good pictures. It just give us an excuse to have more pictures taken. Hopefully next time he'll be in a better mood.
See the pictures HERE.
Oh I should mention that while Ian was taking a brief nap in his car seat Mom and Dad took some pictures. Picture 46 is our attempt to look like President Obama. :-)

Ian's First Concert
Ian attended his first concert today - Joe's gamelan performance. One of Joe's requirement for graduation is to participate in a performance ensemble so he joined the gamelan ensemble. Ian really enjoyed the performance.

Ian isn't sleeping he's meditating. :-)

It's been a while....
Ian has been busy and so we haven't had much time to blog. Since we last blogged Ian met his Great-Grandmother Nancy and we enjoyed our visit with her before she has knee replacement surgery. We've also been back to the pediatric orthopedist since we last blogged. The news we received from the doctor and radiologist wasn't very specific. All they doctor said was that he was "making progress" even though the radiologist (a different one from the radiologist we've worked with the past two times) said she didn't see any improvement. Currently we have one more week of wearing the harness all day long and then we have four weeks of only having to wear the harness at night.

We posted some new pictures of what Ian has been up to - spending time with Dad, going for walks, going to the park with Owen, and smiling lots.
